Any interested person holding qualification (s) which entitles such a person to register with the Health Professions Council of South Africa
(HPCSA) to practice as an Environmental Health Practitioner, Environmental Health Assistant or any recognised speciality(includes retired members who
opt to continue paying membership fees). This member shall have full voting rights.
Any person holding a qualification in the field of Environmental Health or public health; any field related to EH/PH but not qualifying for any
other category ofmembership. Such qualification had been approved by the Governing Board. This member shall not have voting rights. The Governing
Board may co-opt such a member in line with section 7, sub-section 7.6 of this constitution.
Any person who is currently undergoing community service as anEnvironmental Health Practitioner and is registered with the HPCSA as such.Such
members shall have full voting rights and will be eligible for election tooffice bearer’s positions of the Association, including Governing Board.
Persons, who in the opinion of the Governing Board, shall have rendered distinguished service to the Association, or a persons who shall have
attainedeminence in the cause of environmental health, and have been duly approvedby Governing Board. Such persons will not have full voting rights.
Any person, authority, company or organization with direct or indirect interest in environmental health,/public health offering contributions or
donating resources(financial, professional or otherwise) to the Association for advancement of Environmental Health. They will not be eligible for election
to Governing Board and shall not have any voting rights. They may however serve in Provincial and Local structuresto influence fair and accountable use of
their resources.
Any person who is studying for a recognized qualification as approved by the HPCSA’ in Environmental Health. Such member will have voting rights
andwill be eligible for election to National Council.
